Mike Skipper

Yes it's me. Yours truly with the largest pike landed during the recent two day International against Ireland on the Somerset Levels. (Sorry Ben/Andrew but you'll just have to guess the exact spot where I caught her from)
She weighed in at 13.07 and fell to a wobbled Smelt, using my brand New Greys Prowla 11ft bait rod. Boy did she put up a scrap!
A couple of really huge pike were hooked and lost during the weekend on the beautiful waters of the Somerset Levels, but fortunately for me she remained the largest pike caught during the two days of competition. Two other low doubles were caught during the annual International, which Ireland won by 44.11. Over 190 pike were caught and returned (safely) during the two days, for an average weight of just over 4.08 each. An impressive catch return!
Still it's Ireland next year, and time for us to gain revenge.

Elliot Robinson

Congratulations to Elliot Robinson who smashed his PB with this fine 16lb specimen from the River Tees. Elliot was christening a rod that he bought from Chas White, and this was also his first pike ever on a brown trout deadbait. He also managed to christen a new wiegh sling and new landing net with his pike - a cracking day.
Elliot's dad and partner in 'Team Robinson' had to make do with a pristine 6lb jack, but as they say -"a pike is a pike is a pike".
That's the problem with taking kid's with you, they often turn out better than you.

Paddy Toner

Here's Paddy with a couple of nice fish to just over 9lbs taken on short sessions on a local water. Productive to say the least!

Rogues Gallery - 3 Amigo's

Talk about a picture more suitable for Crimewatch But this shot of Ant, Watto & Jacko taken at the recent Tackle & Gun fair just had to be added.

Ant Glascoe

I'm seriously thinking of changing his name to Ant "The Deviator" Glascoe after the current run of success Ant has being having with these lures. Here's one of two twenties caught from an Anglian water recently.

Mark Green

Here's Mark Green with a really nice conditioned double-figure pike caught from an East Yorkshire Canal.

Martin Travis

New member Martin Travis caught this 11 lb pike on a teach-in day organised by Mark Green. A very nice start.

Mark Green

Mark Green enjoyed his day on a South Yorkshire Reservoir, catching this 15 on a half mackeral.

Paddy Toner

Here's regular contributor Paddy Toner with a nice looking Yorkshire water pike just shy of 10lb. The pike took a smelt.

Eric & Elliot Robinson

Team Robinson have been hitting those poor pike on the River Tees again. In their own words"

"Here's our story of todays session.
Elliot and I went to our usual peg on the Tees today for a spot of piking. Elliot was first to strike with a lovely 11lb pike which fell to a mackerel deadbait. Whilst dealing with this pike, Erics bite alarm went ballistic and he had one on too. Eric then landed a 9lb specimen which fell to a brown trout deadbait. After some pics, Elliot placed his fish in the water in the net for a short while, so both pike and captors could be photographed together. Whilst dealing with both fish, Erics other alarm went off, but the pike that was on shook its head and swam off. All in all a hectic 10 minutes out of a 4 hour session which saw very little other action, although Eric had two other runs which didn't amount to fish.
Still, another two pike for Team Robinson and all on video too".
Cheers
Eric & Elliot

Eric Robinson

Eric Robinson and his son Elliot have had a few days out on the Rivers Swale & Tees recently, with Eric catching one of 15lb from the Swale and a 15lb 08 from the Tees.
Meanwhile Elliot managed a new PB with his 15.04 from the Tees; beating his previous best of 9lb 06.
All three fish fell to a Mackeral dead-bait.

Paddy Toner

A little stroll down the canal recently produced this nice pike for Paddy Toner. He seems to have a habit of picking up some beautiful looking pike.
