Rob Nixon

In Rob's own words!

"Hello Mike, thought i would send you these two pics, same fish. 1st pic caught first time on 6/1/12 at 19lb 12 oz. 2nd pic on caught on 26/1/12 at 23lb 05 oz. no prebaiting not from me anyway. she's put on over 3lb in 20 days. All the best."

It just goes to show how weather and pressure in the right mix can get pike to feed heavily over a short period of time. Combined with what also must be the right levels of prey fish in the water can get fish to put on weight quickly.
Makes you wonder what might happen at Chew after the recent spate of large fish captures, if they introduced a large amount of trout into the water a few weeks prior to the last few dates on the reservoir before the end of the season!
