Ant Glascoe

With the country experiencing some awful weather conditions at present, the indomitable Ant Glascoe put in a couple of hours fishing recently on the canal. Battling 50mph winds, face splitting rain and gales,he spent the session leap-frogging dead-baits for a mammoth catch of 18 doubles, including 2 over the 20lb mark to 23lbs. (Pictured below)
He sent me loads of pictures, but one other I felt needed to be added shows exactly why every pike angler should carry a decent pair of hook cutters with them; after this scraper double decided to tail walk with a flying treble esconced firmly in Ant's finger. A quick turn of the hook point and snip from the cutters saw he free to unhook and sack-up the pike. After a bit of first aid, he even maneged to smile for the camera.
A valid reminder for us all to carry decent cutters and first aid kit with us, even for a short session.
